Nanga Parbat (8126 m), Broad Peak (8046 m) and K2 (8611 m) Kazakhstan Expedition
Summer 2003

May 22, 2003 The team is flying today from Almaty to Pakistan through Dubai, some members will fly with the loads May 27 through Karachi. The expedition will last till the end of Summer. Simone Moro and his girlfriend Barbara Zwerger are flying to Pakistan today too. Simone wants to climb all three peaks together with Kazakhstan team, and Barbara is going to climb Broad Peak.

I participate in this expedition, because I feel me a member of Russian Alpinism. And also because I'm one who is sure in the success of this project. I know personally all members of the team and sure that Kazakhstan team will climb all summits. Only very bad weathe can stop the project...
As for my plans, I had finished my "7 summits" program last year, I'm going to Karakoram now, and think about 8000 meter peak in Winter with Wielicki...

On June 20 will be the presentation of my first book - where I expalne who I'm and where I come but mostly I explane what really happened on Annapurna 1997 with Boukreev in winter. It's the story of the tragedy.

Simone
